EPDM O-ring cord is manufactured from ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber and is widely used in static sealing applications where resistance to weathering, ozone, UV exposure, and aging is required. The material maintains stable physical properties under long-term outdoor exposure and performs reliably in contact with water and steam.
Thanks to its flexibility and elastic recovery, the cord can be easily bent, stretched slightly during installation, and fitted into standard or irregular grooves. This makes EPDM O-ring cord particularly suitable for maintenance, repair, and on-site sealing, where quick installation and custom sizing are required.
EPDM O-ring cord is commonly applied in fixed or detachable joints with moderate working pressures.

Applications
EPDM O-ring cords are commonly used as static sealing elements in fixed or detachable joints with working pressures of up to 1.0 MPa. They are widely applied to protect cavities from dust and dirt and to form sealing washers or gaskets in industrial equipment.
Typical applications include water and steam systems, pneumatic sealing with compressed air or gas, outdoor equipment, and general-purpose industrial sealing where resistance to weathering and aging is required. EPDM cords are also frequently used for quick seal replacement and emergency repairs, helping reduce downtime.
Material Limitations
EPDM O-ring cord performs exceptionally well in water, steam, and environmental conditions, it is not resistant to mineral oils, fuels, or greases. Prolonged contact with mineral oils, animal or vegetable oils, and fats may result in excessive swelling and is therefore not recommended.
Sizes and Customization
EPDM sealing cords are available in standard cross-section diameters. In addition to standard sizes, custom diameters and lengths can be manufactured to meet specific application requirements.
