Red steel paper gaskets, also known as insulating fiber gaskets, are industrial-grade insulation materials made from high-quality cotton and wood pulp base paper. The base material is impregnated with zinc chloride solution to gelatinize the fibers, followed by desalination and drying for structural stability.
This material offers exceptional oil resistance, electrical insulation, arc-quenching capability and strong mechanical strength comparable to aluminum—but with only half the weight.
With a temperature resistance of –40°C to 120°C and UL94 V-0 flame-retardant certification, red steel paper gaskets are widely used in transformers, motors, electrical cabinets, power tools and precision insulation components. The production process includes environmentally compliant burning treatments and meets RoHS requirements.
